For the past 4 years, we’ve been organizing English debates between 9th graders in our high school, which have been utterly successful.  This year for the first time, we decided to arrange a debate between Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam Foreign Languages students and Kipaş High School students on May 11th, 2017 with the topic “Should Keeping Animals in Zoos be Banned.”  Our group was made up from 10th, 11th and 12th grade students where they were for the motion.  Both sides were in great control of the topic which made the debate even more enjoyable to watch.  In the end, it was Kipaş who had the victory.  We will have more debates between other schools in the years to come.
